Why volunteer at Community Living Cambridge
Community Living Cambridge supports adults with developmental disabilities. To do that, hundreds of staff support people every day in residential and program settings. To help make these programs and services a success, CLC relies on caring, talented, and energetic volunteers from the Cambridge community. As a volunteer, you’ll know that your contributions help to improve the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.
What kind of volunteers do you need?
CLC needs many different types of volunteers throughout the year, but here are most urgently needed roles:
Volunteers for Volunteers- Support, Mentor, Coach. These volunteers will accompany our participants volunteering in other agencies to build confidence and work skills. Commit to 2 hours a week for 6 months. We are actively looking for male and female volunteers over 18 to support adults with developmental disabilities as volunteers in a placement within the Cambridge community.
Recreation Support Volunteers- Create, Connect, Enrich. Recreation volunteers will assist staff in various recreational activities at the Franklin Centre. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help with crafts, fitness, team building, and self-improvement programs. We are now looking for several volunteers to help with the new program session starting in January 2020. Volunteer swill help by providing hand over hand assistance to participants and help the staff with set up and tear down of activities.
