I have been a member of the Community Living Cambridge Board of Directors since 2004 serving in multiple roles including Vice-President (2010-2012) and President (2012-2018). I’m currently serving as Past President and as a Director on four committees: Executive, Nominations, Asset Leveraging and Strategic Planning.
I have over 35 years of extensive Business experience. For 15 years I was the Owner and Operator of Auto Partsource Cambridge. In this role, I was also the Lead Trainer for new Auto Partsource franchisees across Canada where I coached and mentored new owners in all aspects of business operations. I also served as Chair of the National Franchisee Advisory Committee. Prior to that, I had 20 years of experience as General Manager/Store Manager of a number of Canadian Tires stores in Brantford, Niagara Falls, Welland and Stoney Creek. I was a trainer for Canadian Tires’ “dealer-in-training” program where I coached new Canadian Tire dealers in store operations and “best practices” before they entered their first Canadian Tire stores.
My family and I have called Cambridge home since 1998. We are passionate supporters of Community Living Cambridge (CLC) and Special Olympics. My son Michael is an athlete with several Special Olympic Sports Teams and my wife Nancy and I have volunteered with Cambridge Special Olympics for almost 20 years. From 2006 onward, Michael was an enthusiastic participant at ARC Industries and since that program evolved, has been attending day programs at CLC Franklin Center. Our whole family has a passion for serving the needs of this community and its participants.
