This role is being advertised to fill an Existing Position

PROGRAM: CPS Program, Franklin Center - location may be subjected to change

No of Position: 1   

TYPICAL HOURS OF WORK:  40 hrs Weekly / 80 Bi-Weekly

  • Days, evenings, and weekend rotating shifts. Required to work Statutory Holidays.

 

PAY RATE:  $ 25.28- 27.53

 

DESCRIPTION OF CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support individuals to live with dignity, in line with the values and ethics of Community Living Cambridge.
  • To uphold confidentiality of all individuals.   
  • To oversee basic welfare of all participants and assist as needed, including meals and personal care.
  • Provide support in the provision of hygiene, leisure activities, housekeeping, and personal support activities.
  • To work closely with and assist Counsellors.
  • Implement behaviour and health care protocols.
  • Support efforts to implement goals derived from the Individual Support Plan
  • Promote activities that enhance quality of life.

FORMAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Partial or fully completed post-secondary education in a field related to developmental services.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and rights of person with developmental disabilities.
  • Previous experience working with people who have disabilities and behavioural issues will be an asset.
  • Experience with mental health challenges will be an asset.
  • Must be strong team player, motivator and be well organized.
  • SOME LIFTING MAY BE REQUIRED
  • Must have a good/general overall work record with Community Living Cambridge

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:   Valid driver’s license

ATTENDANCE:Good Standing

 

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:  Advocacy, Collaboration, Initiative, Interpersonal Relations & Respect, Fostering Independence, Creative Problem Solving, Resilience.
