Bill’s Story

This is Bill’s Story.

Bill has always been drawn to the sound of music and he comes by it naturally.  When Bill’s parents got married, they were given a piano that Bill’s great grandfather played.  Bill’s mother, Karen, loved to play that piano, so he was fortunate to grow up in a home full of music and a piano to play.

There are stories that when Bill was really young he would lay underneath the piano when the tuner would come to tune it. He would lay there fascinated, listening as all 88 strings were tightened and tuned. When he was old enough, he started taking lessons and learned to make his own music. He has a repertoire of songs he loves to play, which sometimes includes Christmas tunes, regardless of the time of year.

When Bill’s mom sadly passed away, Bill’s father thought it would be a great idea to send the piano to the group home with Bill, which has turned out well for him indeed. Bill still enjoys weekly piano lessons on that very same piano and working on learning new repertoire.

Bill’s other interests include attending Franklin Centre where he enjoys social activities, art, meditation time and Drum Circle is one of his favorites.
